While piles and piles of debris, hazardous liquids and construction materials started accumulating during the demo process, I began to worry about the “dumping” phase.
Unfortunately, there is little to no [CLEAR] information about waste that comes with the skoolies.What I did know is that the waste we were accumulating is not one to just ditch in the recycling bin.
When automobile materials turn into by-products in the form of debris or trash, they’re identifies as hazardous construction materials. Dumping this “anywhere” result in penalties including a large fine, or possibly even jail time.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency website, the maximum penalty for unintentionally supplying misleading information about waste is for an individual is $120,000.
